LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Phylicia Rashad has been named the latest spokeswoman for Jenny Craig, People magazine reported.
The former "Cosby Show" actress, who played Clair Huxtable, joins a number of fellow actresses who have represented the company within recent years, including Queen Latifah, Kirstie Alley and Valerie Bertinelli.
"Jenny Craig confirms a new relationship with Phylicia Rashad," a rep for the weight loss program told the mag. "We look forward to sharing the details at a press conference in late January."
While Phylicia is best known for her time on the long-running Bill Cosby comedy, she’s won a number of accolades off-screen – in 2004, she won a historic Tony award for her role in "A Raisin in the Sun," the first time an African-American took the lead actress category.
